What is the Prairie Harvest Mental Health Worksite?

Prairie Harvest Mental Health runs the 4th Street Eatery along with the Lodge members. The Eatery is located in the Grand Forks County building on the 6th floor. The Eatery prepares and serves a different hot lunch Monday - Friday. The Eatery offers soups, sandwiches, desserts, drinks and popcorn in addition to the lunches. Prairie Harvest Mental Health staff, such as the Lodge Coordinator, the Lodge Assistant and the Job Developer help work with Lodge members. They provide support on the job and assist with training in cooking, serving and customer service.

The 4th Street Eatery provides supportive employment, on the job training and vocational skills. The 4th Street Eatery also establishes a stable, caring and understanding working environment that fosters good mental health, increases income and supports success for the employees. Working at the 4th Street Eatery allows Lodge members to build work history and earn an income. Earning an income allows Lodge members to maintain an independent existence in the community and as contributing members.
